Volunteering
Could you spend a few hours with us at the Museum? We need people to help staff the Museum on Saturday afternoons. The main focus of the position would be to greet visitors and help us with various projects which are underway. Joyce Valentine coordinates and provides training for the staff of the Museum so please get in touch with her if you are willing to give us one, two or even more of your Saturday afternoons! You can reach her at 773-396-6269 or by email at 10402linderman@gmail.com.
Spring and Summer 2022 is coming soon...we could use your assistance in helping us clean, rearrange, set up new displays, label artifacts, etc. Even an hour will be a great help! Call any of the Directors and let us know if you are able to contribute your time--we have great fun and enjoy just being together.
It is guaranteed you will have a good time! The visitors are excited about the holdings and often have some pretty wonderful memories and tales to tell. We would especially like to have extra help over Bear Lake Days even an hour or two would be helpful. We are fortunate to have some Bear Lake High School student volunteers who are involved with the distribution of marketing flyers to area businesses and residents.
Can’t make it to the Museum? No problem, there are many other activities and fundraising events which you might help us with. Just ask Joyce and she will gladly give you a task.
Joyce Valentine, Volunteer Coordinator, has gathered several docent volunteers who willingly give their time to support the Museum on Saturdays during our open hours. Presently Margaret Wilkerson, Nancy Ayers, Linda LaMont, Joyce Thompson, and each of the Board of Directors have stepped forward to act as docent volunteers. A SPECIAL THANKS TO THE VOLUNTEERS!
Many other local "best friends" have also given us a hand when needed. These include: Tom Amor, Patti Bowling, Nina Girven, Tom Jager, Larry Keillor, Deb King, Ed Merriman, Sam Robey, Glen Sunbeck, Joyce Thompson, and Ben Young.
